Gamicon Phi is the 21st installment of the longest running gaming convention in eastern Iowa. For the past few years, Gamicon has been held in mid-February at the Iowa Memorial Union on The University of Iowa campus in Iowa City, Iowa.

Activities at Gamicon in the past have included:

Auction

The Gamicon Auction takes place on the Saturday morning of the convention. Items are taken in usually beginning at 8 am, and the auction starts mid-morning. 10% of proceeds from the auction go to Gamicon for upkeep of the convention. The auction location will be announced closer to the convention date.

Saturday 10 am - 6 pm
Sunday 10 am - 2 pm

Game Library

The Mindbridge Game Library is one of the main attractions of Gamicon. The library has over 80 different games, from board games to card games, and everything in between.

Video Game Room

The video game room is one of the newest additions to Gamicon. Systems available for play in the Video Game Room include:

• Nintendo 64
• Nintendo Wii
• Playstation 2
• Playstation 3

The Iowa Memorial Union has an attached hotel, the Iowa House Hotel. Call (319) 335-3513 for reservations. Rooms are $70 flat rate, so get some friends together and save a bundle. Be sure to ask for the Gamicon block.
